Hello City! This goes out to all of my new cast and crew members, and those of you late bloomers still looking to get in on the action. I'm happy to announce that everyone who came out to audition for me earned a part, and that the talent we've got here in this little home away from home is phenomenal. Who needs Hollywood when you've got the City, am I right? So, let's not keep you all waiting, take a look behind the magic curtain below and see where you've landed.
Songbook | Script (note that Bandleader is actually 'Announcer' and Stage Manager is 'Dance Captain?')
The cast list is put together, sure, but are there plenty of openings still? Why yes indeedy there are! So, if you're still interested in joining us just give me, your loyal and caring director (though I do prefer Host) Lorne, a word in the thread below! Cast and crew, badger your friends or family into joining up, it's your duties now! We've still got the Five Merry Murderesses open for all you dancers who can carry a tune out there, along with a few one liner parts for those of you who are lacking a desire to commit to the spotlight. Let's not mention the ensemble parts if you just want to exercise your pipes and don't forget that no show can have too many people in its crew!
Now, onto show business! Our first readthrough is going to span a few days, coming up this week: Wed-Fri, from 6-7ish pm in the auditorium at the Academy. Crew, you'll be coming in to brainstorm with me at the same place on Thursday night, at about 7:30. These are mandatory, folks, and if you can't show up just give me a heads up and we'll work something out. But, if you don't show up and don't let me know? I'm sure I can find another talented soul around here to give your part to, you Selfish Sallies. We'll have a rehearsal schedule drawn up by the last day of the readthrough and I'll meet with the crew to determine what we'll need to get started on. Tenative show dates are February 26-28, so we'll be hustling a little bit, but that should make it nice and fun for you all!
[ooc; Open* - these parts are NPC'd unless someone comes along to take them up. Somehow, I ended up not having to roll on anyone, so those of you that wanted a specific part all got it! If anyone had meant to sign up and forgot, or just plain didn't know that Lorne was putting on a show and looking for participants, go ahead and sign up for the parts leftover. This goes for all the new arrivals, too; everyone's welcome! This post now serves as the main post for all things regarding the production of Chicago, for all questions and contact both IC and OOC if you need. Please let me know if anything doesn't work for you, we can figure out how to work it so that it does!]
