[A melancholic version of 'No One Is Alone' can be heard as Lorne hums to himself. He's cowering in the corner of a cell, clothes torn, one horn broken and his hair mussed. There are brown bruises along his cheeks, evidence that he attempted to fight back when the Gestapo came to grab him but of course he ultimately failed to escape.]

Just look at you. Whimpering in a damn corner like the coward you are.

[Lorne had watched with disinterest when the body had thumped in, unable to tear himself from his own hell to check on him. He nods now, though he keeps looking past the other man, at the hallucination or whatever it is that's laughing at him.]

Yeah. Not like it does any good.

[He realizes how inconsiderate he's being and despite how much he wants to curl tighter into a ball, he leans forward.]

[As it happens, Lockon is awake and aware, and the moment he realizes that Lorne is looking past him, he turns to see who else is there--

No one. Nothing. Lockon frowns a little, then puts it together. It's a typical City thing to do, so it's not like he has to go far to reach some kind of conclusion.]

Neither do you! No offense. Actually, you could say it's a compliment. It means we both put up a fight.

[He doesn't mention what he assumes to be a City-induced hallucination for now. Better to try and keep Lorne distracted (and not wonder too much about if there's going to be an accompanying hallucination for him.]

[Lorne looks down at himself and normally the state he's in would send him off on a rant. Not so now, as he's preoccupied with the situation at hand.]

[Every minute Lockon can successfully distract his cellmate from whatever the deities or the curse or whatever it is has sent to torment him, he'll count as a success. He smiles, a little tiredly.]

[Lorne manages a small smile in return. Until Lockon's arrival, he'd been almost certain he'd be left to rot for however long it took to break him into nothing. He notices the lack of a patch but has enough composition to keep from looking.]

Of course, I don't know that I like this turn towards Grimm's. I really was hoping to stay more in the Disney area, I don't care if they're not the originals.
